Valentine's Day Decor

There's only a few more days until Valentine's Day and I wanted to share how I am decorating my little apartment to give it some Valentine's cheer! I've added some pink and red accents along with some heart motifs to make me feel festive and brighten up those long winter days...

Adding some pillows on the sofa in red and pink tones add a whole new look to my living room. The heart pillow and the floral pillow were painted by Senay Studio located in Toronto. Red plaid is always a classic and my lunbar pillow is made with a printed linen from Japan.

I went to my local flower shop this morning and picked up a few tulips and roses in pink and white. I arranged them in these pink buckets from the Ikea As-Is section. They were a great deal! (I may use them again for Easter) Because they are so tall I cut a cardboard egg carton in three to give the flowers some extra height. I put a cloth over top the carton and filled the buckets with water to keep them well hydrated. Hopefully they will last till Sunday!

Also, stacking red books is an easy way to add Valentine's decor without using hearts and flowers.

Tulips are one of my favourite flowers. These two-tone pink and white tulips are perfect for this time of year! <3

Again I stacked a few colour-coordinating books while also adding some glass dishes filled with candy.

For my mantle I added the DIY Pom Pom garland that I posted about as my last Valentine's blog post. I picked up pink vases from my local thrift store and also added the same tulips to my mantle. Nothing is more romantic then some fresh cut flowers.

I can't get enough of these tulips, they really just brighten up the whole space. Paired with petite candlesticks makes the perfect decor match.

Febraury may be the shortest month of the year but it can feel like the longest winter month. I hope you all enjoyed my Valentine's Day decor. Hopefully it inspires you to decorate your place to fill it with Valentine's cheer!

Next I will be showing you how to make a unqiue wood block pixelated heart hanging. It is currently hanging on my apartment door and looks quite festive!

Sincerely,

Kendra
